Pastor Jeff Price

Jeff grew up in Pine Bluff.  From birth to adulthood, he was an active member of Wesley Methodist Church.  He graduated from Pine Bluff High.  He then attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and received a degree in psychology.   He returned to Pine Bluff and married his high school sweetheart, Julie Tanner.  He and Julie together attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta where they received Master’s degrees in Youth Ministry.  As a team they have served as youth ministers and church educators at Presbyterian churches in Atlanta, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

Jeff earned a Master of Divinity degree from  Memphis Theological Seminary.  Prior to his call to Trinity in 2002, Jeff served as an associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff.  Jeff has a heart for mission and has participated in many mission trips to areas such as Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, Jamaica and Ireland.

Jeff is a proud parent of a son named Tanner, a daughter named Becca, and a poodle named Romeo.

Director of Music Ministries David Glaze

We feel blessed that David Glaze has become a part of our Trinity Presbyterian family.  We all know what an accomplished, talented musician and director David is, but there’s so much more to know about our fellow church member.  David was born in Camden, Arkansas, and started taking piano lessons at the age of five.  When he was just a sophomore in high school, he was asked to substitute as organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Camden while the lady who played there recuperated from a broken hip.  She decided that she didn't want her job back, and David kept the job for nine years!  As David’s mother recently pointed out to him, he has come "full circle" now that he is back in the Presbyterian Church.

David is the Founder and Artistic Director/Conductor of the River City Men's Chorus.  This coming season will be their fourteenth year, and the chorus performs at Second Presbyterian Church on Pleasant Valley Drive.  The chorus has taken two European tours, with a third one coming up in May of 2017.  We need to all make sure to attend one of the group’s Holiday Concerts this year!  David expressed that one of the musical highlights of his life was being able to play during Mass in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican in Rome.  Another highlight was being asked to play piano for a reception at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York that then-President Bill Clinton hosted for the Heads of State of the United Nations.  The piano he played belonged to Cole Porter, who lived at the Waldorf, and was given to the hotel after his death.

His favorite city is New York City because of the theatrical offerings.  His record number of plays and musicals attended in one trip is nine!  Having said that, people often assume that when he has a free night he probably will go to a concert or some production.  Not so!  He’s actually sort of a "homebody" and enjoys getting into a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops, and watching mindless shows on TV.  Some of his favorites include Big Bang Theory, Mom, The Voice, Master Chef, Nashville, and Masterpiece Theater.  David’s artistic interests go well beyond the music world.  He likes to dabble in painting, work in the yard, and cook.  It is also rumored that he makes a killer coconut cream pie – and yes, his crust is made from scratch!

Director of Christian Education Julie Price
Julie grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff.  She graduated from Pine Bluff High and received a degree in psychology from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She also attended the University at Fayetteville and Ouachita Baptist University.  She earned a Master’s degree in Youth Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta.  Julie has served churches as an educator in Atlanta, Vicksburg, Mississippi and Pine Bluff.  Julie believes in the importance of Christian Education.

She asks, “How can we truly have a relationship with Christ if we don't know Him?  That is what Christian education is – getting to know God.  All my life I went to Sunday school and was in Bible studies as a teen, but it wasn’t until seminary that all the pieces I'd been seeing came together as a whole.  I was in Catherine Gonzales’ church history class in seminary when I first realized that the Bible wasn’t just a bunch of stories, it was one big story.  It was the story of the people of God and that I was a part of it.  It was then that I started to understand what Christian education is all about.”

Julie enjoys music, reading and gardening.

Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries Jared Brown
Jared grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas, where he attended college at Southern Arkansas University and received a bachelor's degree in biological sciences in 2010.  After college he began teaching science in Blytheville, Arkansas where he met his wife, Anne, who happened to be teaching chemistry in the room next door.  After moving to Little Rock in 2015, Anne and Jared found this beautiful little church nestled in the trees off Rahling Road and knew immediately they would be married there and became members after only a few visits.

After two years of volunteering with the youth group, Jared became the director of student ministries and is now working to expand God's love in the young hearts of Trinity Presbyterian.

Jared enjoys anything outdoors but especially loves his boat and the lake.  If you can't find him, he will probably be working on the former or cruising on the latter.

For more information about Trinity's youth program or questions about joining our young adult group you can email him anytime at JaredOtisBrown@gmail.com.

The Board of Deacons

We elect deacons to a board we call the Diaconate. Our Book of Order states, "The ministry of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress."

Deacons at Trinity visit shut-ins, patients in the hospital, and those experiencing grief.  They provide meals and care and compassion to those in need.
